    The Fraser Centre Community Trust is delighted to announce The Imlay Foundation have awarded $25,000 towards our capital project to rebuild The Fraser Centre into a modern community hub for learning, development, arts & entertainment in the heart of Tranent.

    The project will embrace the history of the old building by continuing to screen a community cinema programme and will also offer social, health, educational and business opportunities in the new hub.

    The Imlay Foundation financially support the people who demonstrate the passion, principles and leadership to create better lives in our communities. Through charitable giving they aim to make a positive impact that will pay dividends for years to come.

    “We are pleased to support the redevelopment of The Fraser Centre as a true community asset and focal point for the residents of Tranent,” said Mary Ellen Imlay, board chairman of The Imlay Foundation.

    Development Manager David Orr said: “The Imlay Foundation have been very helpful and enthusiastic in supporting our project. It has been a pleasure to work with them and on behalf of the Trust I would like to thank them for this generous award.
