The Fraser Centre Community Trust Chairman Jonny Russell said, “To reach £2 million is a fantastic achievement and it means we have now raised 85% of our total funds. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Tyne Esk Leader for all their support and we look forward to working with them to build a new Fraser Centre for Tranent.
Development Manager David Orr said: “The award from Tyne Esk Leader is another great example of the support our project has been able to gather. It’s a project that will turn a semi-derelict building into a modern multi-purpose building that will benefit the whole community and we are delighted our vision has been shared by everyone at Tyne Esk Leader.
We still have significant funds to raise before any work can begin and we will be working hard to achieve this over the coming months. There are several ways to help and if you are interested in finding out more please visit www.friendsofthefrasercentre.com”.
