  • PUPPET ANIMATION FESTIVAL VISITS TRANENT!

    Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre presents
    Gingerbread Man

Imagine a world made entirely of biscuits: trees, houses and stars in the sky. Into this beautiful world comes a Gingerbread Man, creating havoc wherever he goes. He meets a majestic cow, a stubborn goat and an opportunistic bird. But… can the Gingerbread Man outwit the dastardly Fox?

With a foot-tapping Yummy Chase soundtrack reminiscent of an old movie – and minimal language, this is a tremendously popular story with younger audiences. A visual feast designed for young children and their families.

Established in 1987, Clydebuilt is one of Scotland’s leading touring puppet companies, touring extensively throughout the UK and annually performing over 200 shows. For the past twenty years Clydebuilt has presented its productions at the Puppet Animation Festival.

The Fraser Centre Community Trust and our partners are delighted to be shortlisted for the RICS Social impact Awards: Recognising the built environment’s positive and transformational contribution to society.

The Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has shortlisted 35 of the country’s most impactful construction projects for its prestigious Social Impact Awards, Scotland.

The projects will be judged and voted on by an expert panel of RICS members and other experts based on their role in transforming communities and the everyday lives of people.

The awards are divided into nine award categories to include the best examples of development in the commercial, education, healthcare, heritage, infrastructure, land & rural, leisure, residential and student accommodation sectors – with an overall winner also due to be announced.

The Trust said: “We are delighted to have been nominated and had our project recognised for the positive impact it is already making in our community. We would like to thank Fleming Buildings and our design team including: Norr UK; Storrier & Donaldson; Hulley & Kirkwood; and The Structural Partnership for all their work on creating the new Fraser Centre”.

The winners will be announced at the RICS Scotland ceremony on 23 April.
