The Fraser Centre Community Trust would like to thank the Rank Foundation for their £1,500 contribution towards our new seating system.
Centre Manager, David Orr said, “This seating system seats 116 people and is integral to the flexibility of the space and making it available for groups wishing to hire the room for different purposes. We would like to thank the Rank Foundation for their support towards this equipment”.
The Fraser centre Community Trust would like to thank local charity and partner ‘A Gift from Kieran’ for purchasing Baby Changing units for the new Fraser Centre.
Centre Manager, David Orr said: “The Trust has been in partnership with ‘A Gift from Kieran’ for the past couple of years to provide free films over Christmas for local families and we look forward to continuing to work together in 2020 and beyond. With that focus on families, we are delighted they have helped our new building by providing the baby changing units”.
What an amazing year for The Fraser Centre: I think it’s time for a little break!
We will be closed from Friday 20th December and reopen for hired events on Saturday 4th January. Our office will reopen on Monday 6th January.
We will respond to any enquiries upon our return, this includes enquiries through facebook and twitter.
Our regular events will all commence on the week beginning 6th January as well.
We have received an incredible number of replies to our Caretaker role and we shall be in touch with those selected for interview in January.

Reports to: Centre Manager
Hours: Minimum 10 hours per week. This will include evenings and weekends.
Pay scale: £9 per hour.
Position type: Permanent, part time.
The Organisation: FCCT is a registered Scottish Charity SCO43597. The Trust is in the process of completing a capital project to rebuild the former Winton Cinema into a modern community hub for learning, development, arts & entertainment.
The building is due to open in October 2019. The hub will house a café, rooms to let, rooms to hire, with a vibrant programme of events and activities.

Duties & responsibilities: The Fraser Centre Community Trust is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and skilled individual within our team at The Fraser Centre.
This post is responsible for:
1. Welcoming event booking clients to The Fraser Centre.
2. Preparing rooms for hire events.
3. Ensuring the Centre is clean, safe and presentable to all users of the building
4. Ensuring the Centre is a safe place to work and to visit through adopting safe working practices.
5. Cleaning of the centre which includes but not exclusive to: lower windows and doors; foyer/café; offices; toilets; activity rooms; corridors.
6. Ensuring toilets are freshly stocked with toiletries.
7. Emptying bins.
8. Ensure equipment is maintained and any faults or need for replacements highlighted to the Centre Manager.
9. Working with other staff and users to provide a facility that everyone can be proud of.
10. Responsible for opening and locking of the building before and after events.

We are available Monday – Friday 9am-2pm and during our events outside of this time. Please see our website for ideas on toy donations. Thank you.
The Fraser Centre is a drop off point for the East Lothian Foodbank. In particular right now we are supporting the Jingle Bags Appeal and are asking for donations to ensure no one goes hungry this Christmas.
