Current Funders

The National Lottery Community Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund is the largest funder towards the Fraser Centre project, investing over £1,000,000 into: research; capital funds; and 5 year revenue funding.

The National Lottery community fund also provided additional Covid-19 support.

Scottish Government: Investing in Communities

The Fraser Centre Community Trust with East Lothian Council were awarded £143,1470 in funding towards The Fraser Centre Community Trust.

This fund will support our current operations as well as a new role, Development Officer, which shall begin in September 2023 for 3 years.

Tyne & Esk Rural Communities Development Fund

Funded by Scottish Ministers in conjunction with the Tyne & Esk Local Action Group.

The Fraser Centre Community Trust is delighted to have been awarded £4,921.47 which shall be used towards:

  • A defribrillator.
  • Replacement point of sale hardware.
  • New IT equipment for our Volunteer Co-Ordinator.
  • Funding for our Volunteer Co-Ordinator.

Tyne & Esk Rural Communities Development Fund

Funded by Scottish Ministers in conjunction with the Tyne & Esk Local Action Group.

The Fraser Centre Community Trust is delighted to have been awarded £16,896 which shall be used towards:

  • A new cinema projector to replace our ageing second hand projector.
  • 2 new foyer monitors to promote our community news.
  • Equipment for our youth music evenings, Saturday Sessions, promoting young musicians with professional equipment.

Tyne & Esk Rural Communities Development Fund

Funded by Scottish Ministers in conjunction with the Tyne & Esk Local Action Group.

Tyne & Esk Rural Communities Development Fund have awarded £10,889.00 to The Fraser Centre Community Trust to spend on new Hand Dryers; New Tables & Chairs; & a new audio system to assist people hard of hearing to enjoy the majority of our film screenings.

East Lothian Council: One Council Fund

East Lothian Council have awarded £5,000 towards The Fraser Centre Community Trust.

CO-OP Local Community Fund

The Fraser Centre Community Trust has been selected to be a part of the Co-op Community Fund.

Co-op members can donate to The Fraser Centre Community Trust every time they shop.

The fund has raised over £900 so far this year which will go towards our free cookery classes. Thank you

Film Hub Scotland

The Fraser Centre Community Trust is delighted to be Supported by Film Hub Scotland, part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network, and funded by Screen Scotland and National Lottery funding from the BFI.

The Trust has been awarded £1,900 towards our cinema programme & audience development through our programme of Spanish and French films in Autumn 2024.

Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund

The Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, managed via the Volunteer centre for East Lothian have awarded £6,613.00 towards The Fraser Centre Community Trust. The funding shall be sued to assist our free community activities including: food pantry; Friendly Fridays and Cookery Classes.

Faside Area Partnership

The Faside Area Partnership has supported The Fraser Centre Community trust in providing funding for new activities equipment for our health and social activities to benefit from such as new kurling stones.

The partnership have also authorised the purchase of new recycling bins towards our commitment to recycling.

The partnership have also funded our first ‘Wee Green Festival’, a festival aimed at promoting climate action in a fun, family friendly way.

East Lothian Climate Action Network

The Fraser Centre community Trust would like to thank the East Lothian climate Action Network for providing a grant to build new planters including the soil and flower seeds to improve the pathways at the side of The Fraser Centre.

The Artemis Charitable Foundation

The Fraser Centre community Trust would like to thank The Artemis Charitable Foundation for supporting our 2025 summer programme with a £5,000 donation. Thank you.

Tyne Esk LEADER

Tyne Esk LEADER contributed £200,000 to the capital regeneration project to rebuild The Fraser Centre into a thriving community hub for learning, development, arts & entertainment in Tranent town centre.

Tyne Esk LEADER also contributed support to assist with Covid recovery.

The Robertson Trust

The Robertson Trust were one of our earliest supporters, contributing £50,000 over 5 years in revenue funding and an additional £200,000 in capital funding.

East Lothian Council & Faside Area Partnership

East Lothian Council contributed £100,000 through the Community Intervention Capital grant scheme.

In addition the Trust has received funding through the Fa’side Area Partnership for £40,000.
