As the GB Curling team prepare for the upcoming Winter Olympics, The Fraser Centre and Ageing Well have teamed up to offer everyone 60+ the chance to try Curling for themselves.
Only this is Curling with a difference, ‘Kurling’ is played without the ice. Designed to help provide an enjoyable activity for socialising , fun and to keep active, New Age Kurling is a great game to come along and try for yourself.
The Fraser Centre Development Manager, David Orr said, “We are delighted to work with Ageing Well to bring new ideas and activities to The Fraser Centre. We hope that this taster session leads to regular event as part of our community programme. This activity is suitable for beginners and a lot of fun to play.”
The Ageing Well Coordinator, Dave Jeffrey said, “I am thrilled to be working with the Fraser Centre to help showcase New Age Kurling. It’s a great activity that is suitable for everyone and it will make you want to come back and try it time after time. The Fraser Centre is a great venue so hopefully this will be that start of many activities that we will work on together.”
The free taster session takes place on Wednesday 11th December, 10am-11.30am at The Fraser Centre, 3a Winton Place, Tranent, East Lothian, EH33 1AF. Tea & Coffee will be available.
