As the GB Curling team prepare for the upcoming Winter Olympics, The Fraser Centre and Ageing Well teamed up on Wednesday 11th December to offer everyone aged 50 and over the chance to try Curling for themselves.
Only this is Curling with a difference, ‘Kurling’ is played without the ice. Designed to help provide an enjoyable activity for socialising , fun and to keep active, New Age Kurling is a great game to come along and try for yourself.
The day was enthusiastically enjoyed by all who attended leading to the activity being planned to return on Tuesday 21st January 10am-11.30am and continue on a regular basis.
The Fraser Centre Development Manager, David Orr said, “We are delighted to work with Ageing Well to bring new ideas and activities to The Fraser Centre. We hope that this taster session leads to regular event as part of our community programme. This activity is suitable for beginners and a lot of fun to play.”
The Ageing Well Coordinator, Dave Jeffrey said, “I am thrilled to be working with the Fraser Centre to help showcase New Age Kurling. It’s a great activity that is suitable for everyone and it will make you want to come back and try it time after time. The Fraser Centre is a great venue so hopefully this will be that start of many activities that we will work on together.”
